Big Fish
Made in 96 hours for GMTK Game Jam 2024. The theme was "Built to Scale"
You play a small fish that hopefully becomes a big fish to swim upstream to the end. Your fish must grow in each segment to cross the strong currents, navigating treacherous waters. "The big fish eat the little ones," they say. And that's the unfortunate truth of life in these waters. Eat to grow. Get eaten to shrink or die.
Controls
Move with W/S/A/D or Arrow keys.
Known issues
- Avoid picking up 3 scales: Picking up a third scale will lead to the player changing to a shape that makes the game pretty hard to play, since the fish's mouth shrinks. Scales were meant to be a fun cosmetic change, but 3 make the game way harder.
- No sound or music, sorry. Unless you really like listening to your own music, then consider it a feature.
- When you get really big, like you will be at the end screen, the text is unreadably small. It says thanks for playing, and I mean that.
